This year has been a whirlwind for so many of us. I can’t believe that we’ve FINALLY made it to the end of 2018. How has time gone by simultaneously fast and slow this year?

I feel really good about the direction I’m taking my blog and what I hope to be my ‘business.’ I spent a lot of time this year trying to figure things out, though I was really just standing in my own way. Sometimes planning is nothing more than just procrastinating, isn’t it?

I always get anxious around the New Year. Everyone starts posting about their accomplishments and their new goals, which don’t get me wrong, is GREAT. I genuinely love seeing the people I care about post about their successes and ambitions. But sometimes it makes me doubt my own accomplishments. I start wondering if I’m enough. Have I done enough? Are my goals big enough? Should I be doing more? I know I can’t be alone in this. Part of the reason I mentioned this is to quash the idea that someone else’s success is our failure.

Of course, the Slytherin in me might always see it this way ;)—but then again, maybe not. One of my goals going forward is to rewire my mindset about success and happiness. When all is said and done, a negative takeaway is only a reflection of how we feel about ourselves. One of my affirmations for 2019 is that I. AM. ENOUGH. <3

I plan to spend the last few days of 2018 reading, journaling, and of course, my annual re-watch of Game of Thrones. I’ve brought in every new year for the last 3 or 4 years watching the show, so now it is a weird little tradition that I don’t plan on breaking any time soon!

I promised you all a tea review, and I’m happy to be working with a company called Miss Missy’s Tea and Sundries. One of the best things about the company is that they source tea from a zero emissions and zero waste supplier. All tea is organic, fair trade, and kosher! Big win!

The owner sent me a few teas to try, and I must say that I’m impressed! I’m a coffee drinker through and through, but I am also a tea addict. Besides being delicious, tea has its place in witchcraft. You can use herbs and spells to turn your little brew into a powerful tool. I love putting magical intent into my morning tea routine and seeing where the day takes me. I might even start posting my little concoctions! Read on for a short review of the tea and a DISCOUNT CODE! 😀

The first tea I tried is called ‘Lazy Sundae.’ This Yerba Mate blend contains peppermint leaf, as well as Cacao nibs, vanilla bean, and Carob. The result is a delicious chocolate mint flavor with just the perfect after note of vanilla.

Yerba Mate is one of the best teas to drink in the morning, especially if you find yourself missing the caffeine kick that a lot of herbal teas lack. Mint is a very versatile herb that can aid in divination, relaxation, and even stomach troubles! It is often associated with the deity Hekate and makes for a great offering on your altar.

This blend looks so soothing! How many different ingredients can you spot?

Speaking of divination, if you want to learn more about Tasseomancy, read this short little book,
Creative Divination: Read Tea Leaves & Develop Your Personal Code. It’s a fun and interesting book about the art of reading tea leaves!

The next tea was my favorite; it is called ‘The Good Witch’ and it is a Kukicha tea. Kukicha is such a cool little tea. It is a Japanese blend that consists of stems, stalks, and twigs! Who would have thought that what we typically throw away would make such a wonderful cup of tea. The idea of using the entirety of the plant is something I LOVE. Not to mention, it tastes great. Kukicha is a green tea, but it has a really rich, bold taste that is similar to a black tea without the bitterness. This little cup of tea is a serious powerhouse of health. It contains multiple vitamins and minerals, making it one of the healthiest tea choices!

Because of its sweet and woody flavor, I feel like this tea would lend itself well to your herbal experiments or blends. Lavender, chamomile, fennel, etc. are all good choices depending on what you want to achieve. The nice part about The Good Witch is that we know it is from good sources!

How beautiful is this tiny little forest of tea?! So earthy and wonderful.

I want to thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for reading and supporting me this year! It is certainly time for me to up my game in 2019, and your encouragement and feedback inspires me every day. I hope you treat yourself to some of the tea I mentioned, and as always: take care of yourself, wraiths.
